mwbwOuadane (mwcaarabo: وادان) è una città del nord-ovest della mwcqMauritania, situata sull'mwcgaltopiano dell'Adrar, a nord-est di mwcwChinguetti. Venne fondata nel mwda1147 dalla tribù mwdqberbera Idalwa el Hadji e divenne ben presto un importante tappa per le mwdgcarovane nonché centro di commercio.

Una mweastazione di posta mweqportoghese venne stabilita qui nel mweg1487, ma la città subì un netto declino nel mwewXVI secolo. La vecchia città (un mwfapatrimonio dell'umanità), nonostante sia in rovina è ancora sostanzialmente intatta, mentre un piccolo insediamento moderno si trova subito fuori dalle sue porte.

La città è anche sede dell'unico comune del dipartimento (mwfgmoughataa) omonimo della mwfwregione di Adrar. Secondo il censimento del mwga2000 il dipartimento aveva mwgq3 695 abitanticite-ref-1[1]
